CT Image Processing Used in Mango

Postby jcadwell » Fri Oct 05, 2018 2:12 pm

A CT file (.nii format with eeg depth electrodes) viewed in Mango compared to a viewer that shows slices of the raw file are very different. The Mango image is much less granular, the contrast between brain and electrode is higher, and internal structures (e.g. ventricles) are less visible. Do you have an overview, white paper, or similar describing the transform being applied?
A .jpeg of the two images is enclosed.
Thanks,
John

Sorry for the late reply. Could the nii file have other dimensions of data that the other viewer is using? I know NIFTI can support more than 4 dimensions. Or could the other viewer be doing some kind of automatic post-processing?
