Warning during Nifti conversion

Postby lmquandt » Wed Aug 16, 2017 12:51 pm

Hello,

I used the command line tool to convert a DICOM to a NIFTI file and received the following warning/error:

The number of image positions does not equal the number of temporal positions!

Can someone please explain this to me? The Nifti was still generated but is this a problem?

It looks like this warning might happen when it tries to figure out cross-slice orientation direction. Maybe you have some data that's confusing it, such as Siemens mosaic data. If you load the DICOM in the viewer, you'll probably find that your orientation markers are yellow as well, indicating a warning. As long as you're comfortable with the orientation, you can ignore the warning.
